Samruk-Kazyna Construction completed the implementation of the national project ‘Comfortable School’ in Akmola region
In Akmola region, the construction of nine schools, envisaged under the national project ‘Comfortable School’, initiated by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has been completed. On the eve of New Year holidays, the technical opening of the last two schools built in the Saryarka neighbourhood of Kokshetau city took place. Thus, the implementation of the project in the region was completed under the leadership of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC.
The new educational facilities erected in Saryarka microdistrict are designed for 1500 pupils in one shift each. They solve the problem of shortage of places and eliminate three-shift education in schools of neighbouring districts, where previously children had to travel for education. The construction of the facilities was carried out by Integra Construction KZ LLP and UK Stroy LLP.
Both schools meet the unified standards of the national project and are equipped in accordance with modern requirements for secondary education. Each facility, built according to a standard design, has a total area of over 15,000 square metres. The schools have 358 rooms, 60 of which are classrooms. There are also four sports halls, 324-seat assembly halls with two dressing rooms and cloakrooms, medical blocks, libraries with a multifunctional reading room for 40 seats and a book collection of over 30,000 copies. For children with special educational needs there are inclusion rooms, sensory rooms, speech therapy and psychologist's rooms.
The adjacent territory is fully landscaped: it has football fields, running tracks, jumping pits and playgrounds.
It is interesting to note that the two new educational facilities are located only 800 metres away from each other. The first school has been given the status of a city school-gymnasium by the local executive authorities, while the second one is a technical school-lyceum. Currently, preparatory work is underway to fully launch the educational process.
These two schools were the last facilities commissioned under the national project in Akmola Oblast. In total, nine educational institutions were built in the region, designed for 12,200 pupils in one shift.
